Branch Brook Park Road Race - Newark, NJ (May 8th)

Sakonnet's Louis Perez has been knocking on the victory door for over a season and today his ticket came in. Racing as the lone SKNT representative in this Jersey semi-classic Perez tried his hand in multiple mid race break-aways but nothing stuck. With one lap to go and with the field intact Petacchi-Perez road the front and held his position in the top 5. At the end he was not to be denied and won the field sprint going away for 1st Place.

Collegiate Nationals - Lawrence, KS (May 12th)

Three Sakonnet men will be racing this weekends Collegiate Nationals that is being hosted by the University of Kansas. Each event garners the winner a Collegiate National Championship Stars and Stripes jersey that can be worn in all collegiate events for a year. The events include a Criterium, Road Race and Team Time Trial. SKNT will be represented by Michael Chauner (Bucknell College), Jonathan Swain (Marian College) and Chris Kuhl (Ft. Lewis College).

ANDY UPDATE - Bad Blakenburg, GER (May 12th)

Sakonnet's Andy Guptill is currently racing the Turingen-Rundfarth U23 Stage Race in Germany for the U.S National Team. This event is a designated as a U23 World Cup event and is being held from May 7 - 15th. Andy is having a strong race as he's placed several times in the top half of the field.
