Tour de Okinawa - Okinawa, Japan (November 13th)
Sakonnet riders Andy Guptill and Guy East rose to the top in yesterdays UCI
1.2
Tour de Okinawa. Both riders were riding as members of the U.S National team
for this event. Andy featured in the Professional race, which was contested
over
200km by finishing in 14th Place, which saw him cross the line as the
first North
American rider. Guy raced the Junior race or as they called it there "The
International
High School Race" on the same course over 120km. Guy road to a fantastic
17th
Place and was also the first North American rider across the line.

Palos Verde Cyclo-Cross - Palos Verde, CA (November 13th)
Sakonnet's west coast assistant manger Bob/Bruce Weyman continued to dish
out the pain on the Southern California Cyclo-Cross calendar. Racing in yesterday's
30+ race in Palo Verde Bob/Bruce charged away from the competition on the
courses
tough hill to take 1st Place. "It was great to take the monkey off my
back," said
Bob/Bruce after several near misses earlier in the season.
Bakersfield Cyclo-Cross - Bakersfield, CA (November 6th)
Sakonnet's west coast assistant manager Bob/Bruce Weyman was at it again
playing
in the dirt at this past weekends Cross Race in Bakersfield. The prizes where
beer and
getting "in the beer" versus "in the money" was the mission
for the day. Racing at the
front of the 30+ race Bob/Bruce was in contention for the win until he over
heated and
had to battle it out for the smaller steps on the podium. No matter as beer
is beer
and he took 3rd Place on the day.
