New York, NY
Q: So how did you become involved in cycling?
A: I first started doing triathlons and eventually I moved over to do only
road and
track racing.
Q: Who is the one person that has made the greatest impact on your cycling?
A: My dad has been extremely helpful. We have spent many nights on the road
traveling from one race to another; he has sacrificed a lot of his time in
to helping
me achieve my goals. My family has supported me all the way through; I couldn't
have done anything without them.
Q: Are there any races that you particularly enjoy?
A: I really like hard one day races in the wind and rain, it separates the
men from
the boys. I also enjoy track racing and hope to put a lot of focus into that.
Q: Will those races be target races for you during the 2006 season?
A: I want to do well in the NRC races the team has mapped out for next year,
as
well as racing well in Europe and on the track.
Q: What are your long-term ambitions in the sport?
A: It would be really nice to make a good living off the sport, racing in
Europe on a
D2 or ProTour team.
Q: Lastly, now that you're racing with Sakonnet Cycling Team what are your
impressions of the team?
A: Sakonnet has been a great team. The management is top-notch; they are on
top of everything and really care about the riders. The best thing is that
the roster
is not only full of really fast racers, but great people.
