Introducing new SKNT Rider Chris Ruhl
12-DEC- 2005

New York, NY

Editor: How long have you been cycling?

CR: I started racing when I was 10 years old on the track. My Dad signed me up
for an "Air Products" program in T-Town, PA. This program is designed for Juniors
to get them on the track. They give you a bike to use and a helmet and then they
send you on your way. My Dad road a little and he was my inspiration. So it's been
8 years now since I've been riding and racing.

Editor: What is your greatest experience on the bike?

CR: Winning the Junior 15-16 National track Ominum in Houston, Texas. I had a
really hard time pulling off the win but luck was on my side and I had the legs to
pull it off. I was racing for East Coast Velo at that time and we sent close to 20
kids to the event. It was a lot of fun and after this event I was asked to join the
National Team. Since then it's been a roller coaster ride.

Editor: What are your strengths and weaknesses?

CR: Points racing on the track is one of my strengths. I usually have enough
speed and endurance to pull off a good result. Time trials have to be my greatest
weakness right now. I hope to work on my time trial skills this season. On the
road I excel in Criteriums and Circuit races without too many hills.

Editor: What do you miss the most when traveling in Europe?

CR: I would have to say I miss peanut butter the most. I miss speaking English
as I have a hard time communicating with the local females in Belgium. They
just run away from me as soon as they realize I'm American. I'm not sure what
all that means but I'll be practicing my Flemish for my next trip to the National
Team house.

Editor: What are your motivations and goals in cycling?

CR: I am motivated by winning races and helping my teammates to win races.
The felling you get after a good race is a real high. Next season will be my first
year as a U23 rider and so I'll be taking things as they come. I hope to be able
to help the older guys on the team and also pending the situation ride for some
of my own results as well.

Editor: What is the last CD you bought?

CR: "Anthem for a New Tomorrow" by Screetching Weasel. If you hadn't heard
about them they are a Punk band out of Chicago.

Editor - Seems like Chris will be chasing the ladies and the podiums in 2006.
