2/25/06 Schabobele Road Race (Pro 1, 2 / 65 miles) - California, KY

Guy East stormed to a 2nd Place finish at his first race in Sakonnet colors at Saturdays
Schabobele road race in southern Kentucky. East is an 18 year old who is new to the squad
and hails from Indianapolis Indiana. He excels in hard road races like the Schabobele which
features rolling hills and strong winds. Twenty miles into the event East drove a break that
would garner up to 3 minutes on the peleton. Going into the finish a rider from the Texas
Road House squad took the sprint at the line just inches ahead of East.

 

2/21/06 Fairly travels to Europe…From Belgium to Spain

Sakonnet rider Caleb Fairly left for Brussels to rendezvous with the U.S Espoir National
Team last Thursday. Upon arrival in Belgium Caleb boarded a train to Spain where he'll
be joining the U.S team at a training camp north of Barcelona. Caleb is scheduled to race
with the National Team in Europe over the next few months and is due to return to the
U.S in early June where he'll rejoin his Sakonnet teammates. oster: Andy Guptill, David
