3/27/06 Redlands Classic (Pro 1) - Redlands, CA

After two years of setting up the program the team took a big step in their
march to national prominence. After a successful Redlands Classic where
Andy Guptill finished in 30th Place in overall G.C the team is now ranked in
26th Place in the NRC Team Standings. "It's an honor to be listed in the team
standings alongside Pro Tour teams like Discovery and CSC, now we have
to build on this" said team director Basil Moutsopoulos.

The team will see more NRC action this weekend at the Garret Lemaire
Classic and the following weekend at the Sea Otter Classic, both events
are in California.

Special thanks go out our host-housing family the Novak's for taking such
good care of our boys while in Redlands.

 

3/26/06 NYC Metro Racing Report (NY, NJ, CT)

Sakonnet's Stephan Badger continued his strong run of results at the
Bethel Spring Series by taking 2nd Place at last Sunday's event. Badger
will surely take his first victory of the year in the coming weeks as his
form is strong.

 

3/19/06 St. Peter's Road Race (Pro 1-2) - Louisville, KY

In Sakonnet's Guy East and Jon Swain took on this 100km road race
in the Midwest with fury. After riding in the break-away all day Guy
sprinted to 2nd Place and Swain road to 9th Place after leading out the
sprint for Guy.

 

3/19 & 3/18/06 NYC Metro Racing Report (NY, NJ, CT)

Bethel Spring Series - The Sakonnet tandem of Giannini and Badger where
at it again at yesterdays Bethel Spring Series. Giannini sprinted to 2nd
Place and Badger wrapped up 4th Place.

Grants Tomb Memorial - The day before at the Grants Tomb Memorial
Criterium in New York City the team fielded a full squad. Despite repeated
attempts to establish a breakaway things came all together in the end and
Sakonnet's 18-year-old Chris Ruhl took 5th Place.

 

Collegiate Review

Bethel Spring Series - The Sakonnet tandem of Giannini and Badger where
Several Sakonnet riders have seen action in the last couple of weekends
