Cyclo Cross Round Up New York, NY (November 29th, 2007)
It’s the season for Cyclo Cross and several Sakonnet members have been tearing up the dirt this fall.
It has been a one man results show for Bob/Bruce Weyman out in southern California. Shortly after getting married in beautiful Tuscany Bob/Bruce was dishing out the pain in the SoCal Cross Prestige Series events with a fine win in the Ventura round among many results. Look for Bob/Bruce at Cross Nationals next month in Providence, RI where he’ll be one to watch. For more information on California Crossing visit: www.socalcross.org
The food in Italia must be to the liking of Sakonnet riders as Bob/Bruce’s best man Basil Moutsopoulos has had a patch of nice results as of late with a fine Bronze medal at the NY State 35+ Cross Championships. Basil followed up this strong ride with a solid result last weekend in the NJ Championship, as a non resident he was glad to take home some prize money instead.
Last but not least the mud man Robbie Giannini has been fighting it out and flying the SKNT flag with the Pro’s week in and week out in the tough Verge New England and Mid-Atlantic Cross Series’. Note: Robbie finished 2nd at the Georgia Cup race and not sixth as was previously reported.
