Chris started his racing career on the Lehigh Valley Velodrome at age 11 and almost immediately had success on the junior national level on the track. But after only a short time it became evident that Chris' strengths lay more in endurance track events and road racing, after picking up several top 5 placings at Junior Road Nationals.
As time progressed Chris remained competitive as he moved up through the age groups with a couple of big wins but no national championships. Then in 2003 Chris won the 15-16 omnium at Junior Track Nationals and carried this momentum through the 2004 season by getting selected to race in Europe with the US National Team in the Spring, winning the 17-18 mens points race at Track Nationals, and by representing the USA at the Junior World Track Cycling Championships in both the points race and team pursuit.
In 2005 Chris was again selected to race in Europe with the US National Team but had no top placing. Once home Chris place 3rd in the Philadelphia Jr. PCT Grand Prix and ended a long hard season with a second place in the team pursuit, and a third place in the Madison at Junior Track Nationals.
Chris is currently enrolled at Penn State (Main Campus) and is looking forward to a great 2006 season racing for Sakonnet Technology Cycling Team.
