20 October 2006 -Twenty three year old Sakonnet rider David Wiswell has signed a contract with the NERAC.com Professional Cycling Team for the 2007 season.
David began his cycling career in 1992. David started in mountain biking, he then moved on to the track and into road events. Since 2001 David has ridden stints on both the Junior and Espoir U.S National Track Teams. In 2004 David spent the spring racing the highly lucrative Australian track season before moving to a Belgium road team where he raced in the amateur Pairs-Roubaix among other events. While in Europe, David had the opportunity to race as a contracted rider at the Elite UCI Italian Summer Six Days events in Fiorenzuola, Torino, and Pordenone.
