Jonathan was born in the District of Columbia but resides in Rockville, Maryland where he was raised. During the off-season he attends Marian College in Indianapolis where he is currently a sophomore and is working his way towards a double major in Business Administration and Economics. In addition to school he races in the early spring for Marian's collegiate team on the men's A squad. During the season Jonathan races both on the road and the track. He prides himself on being a complete rider being able to compete under any circumstances.
