2007 Training Camp a Smashing Success!
Hello Friends,
We are back from our 2007 Training camp in Gainesville, FL and I am proud to say it was our best camp ever!
The week began with gathering the riders from the various local airports followed by an evening of entertainment to kick things off right at a University of Florida basketball game (Go Gators!). Each day consisted of multiple meetings including Sakonnet CEO Thurstan Bannister's presentation on the company's products and a very special media training presented by Ravi Rajcoomar (AEG-TOSHIBA Professional Cycling Team).
Follow each morning's trainings we were off on the bikes for 6hr plus days. Over the course of five rides the team logged over 600 miles. The team gelled very quickly and we were impressed with all the new riders to the program. I am happy to say that the team will feature a great mix of talents next season.
A big thanks goes out to all our sponsors, team friends; Tom Hury, Steve Evans and the UF Cycling Team president Phil for helping us through out the week.
