Bruce Weyman started his athletic career as a Cross Country and Track runner. He qualified for All-Star teams in both from the time he was a sophomore in High School. During his junior year a bout with tendonitis saw him start cycling as rehab. A love for bikes and bike racing soon followed. Bruce started competing in and winning Biathlons for the next 2 years. Following a move to Florida for college Bruce stopped running and concentrated on bike racing, moving up to a Cat 2 within 3 years. Basically he is a good all rounder who can climb and roll on the flats. Sprints from small groups are certainly within his grasp but field sprints are better left to others on the team. His real strength is a love of riding for his team.
