Robbie was introduced to the sport of cycling, through mountain biking, when he was thirteen years old. Robbie raced all of his junior years on the dirt, with great success. Robbie was New England regional and state champion numerous times. He spent my last two years as a junior traveling to all of the National Championship Series races across the US where he posted many top five and top ten results. At 18, Robbie turned semi-pro, and found more success on the NCS circuit. However, in his year of college he was introduced to road racing by a good friend. Robbie raced the road for 4 months and then went to Collegiate Nationals in Colorado Springs and placed 3rd in the road race and 2nd in the omnium. Robbie quickly upgraded to a 3, and then, the next spring to a 2. The first cat 2 race that he did was the Tour d'Toona, where he placed 6th in the circuit race, 3rd in the road race, and 5th in the overall.
Robbie's riding style is aggressive and dynamic, long hilly races and time trials are his niche.
